Lauren + Taylor know how to have fun and they love tequila. So what better place to have their wedding than San Miguel? They had this catch phrase from the start ‘tequila and a wedding’ so it was only fitting to work that into our personalized touches throughout the stationery! We played with all the fun colors, prints and patterns that pertained to their unique vision, paired all that with a playful monogram and unique watercolor illustrations to create this joy filled stationery suite for their big day.
Layering Shapes
When the couple is on board, layering paper shapes is one of my favorite elements to look at when I first start designing a custom wedding stationery suite. The visual delight of seeing the right colors and patterns stacked up and tied together with twine and tassels is one sure fire way to make your wedding stand out before anyone has even arrived.

When we want a modern but still whimsical feel to the stationery suite, playing with white foil on a bright colored paper is the move. It’s clean, sophisticated and playful all at once.

A San Miguel wedding always has that festive, funky, colorful, playful feel to it no matter what. It’s all about food, culture, prints, dancing, parades and margaritas. I wanted the envelope liner to capture this essence so right away, guests are feeling that energy through the stationery. It’s like someone tossed all those elements into the air like confetti and said “Let’s go party!”

step one
Fill out the inquiry form + schedule an optional 15-minute inquiry call with us.
step Two
Quote: Receive and review your quote.
Step Three
Move forward — You’ll receive your contract and an invoice to pay your 50% deposit. From there, you’ll schedule a 30-minute design kick-off call with me! Following the call, we’ll send you a verbiage intake form and an address sheet so you can share all the accurate event information needed for your stationery and envelope addressing.
Step four
Brainstorming & Sketching — The fun begins! I’ll begin brainstorming and sketching to present you with your first proof. You get up to three proofs to ensure your vision is met before the painting begins.
Step five
Painting — I’ll start painting your vision to life! As with the brainstorming portion of the project, you are allotted three proofs to ensure your full-picture vision is met and all verbiage is accurate. Any additional proof required after the third will incur a fee.
Step six
Printing & Production — You sign off on your final proof and I’ll begin formatting all your stationery files to be sent to print.
Step Seven
Assembly & Mailing — We’ll receive all the final stationery and any agreed-upon embellishments for assembly in the studio before sending your wedding invitations out to be mailed!
